HD700 beats HD600 in all areas in my opinion. That's why I am selling my HD600s... :)

Due to my sleepyness, I read above statement as "Beats in all areas in my opnion." And I was

BTW, HD6000 considered mid-fi, so which line up is Sennheiser high end headphone? Is it really good? I just wondering.

Well, the HD600 was high end until the HD800 came along... I wouldn't worry about 'labels'. ~Its all about scalability and the HD600/650 both scale well into summit-fi.

Indeed. HD600 is a timeless classic and one of the best in it's price category! :)

Anybody here listened to the HD600  or HD650 with a MAD EAR +HD

Wondering how this combo may sound

The sound of the TH600 is very open. The TH600 sound is on another level to the MDs. THE TH600 actually sounds more open than the HD600s IMO. Although the TH600 is supposedly a closed can it leaks sound a bit and does not isolate anywhere near the MDs

I did some reading on the TH600.  It had a lot of good reviews.  Like you said, the leak might be a problem.  I need a bit better noise isolation.  Alpha dog might be in the same tier as TH600.  I also read about the Signature Pro.  Only if I could audition them all at a local store.  Are the Alpha Dog really that great?  6 Weeks is a long wait.

I don't think the HD6000 is out yet, but I think once it's available it'll be a real humdinger.
Yes.I'm having fun with your typo .

Can the NFB 11.32 connect to an iPod, Zune, phone, etc?

What about the Bottlehead Crack? And how does the Crack connect to a computer?

dun think u can use it as a straight amp... u need usb/ optical input from a computer.
but u can use it as a dac and hook the crack as an amp though.

Completely disagree here. Especially considering the price point. When I tried the 700. I was more then unimpressed. Weak bass, and the balance was all off. The upgrade path should be 600 to 800 for an actual improvement that's worth it. And some with both still reach for the 600. IMHO of course. The 700 is a good can, but not worth the price.

I just checked Sennheiser's web site and it doesn't as discontinued.

Well that a retailer stop to commercialise a product don't mean that it's discontinued by the manufacturer , but the "discontinued can be misleading at jr.com .

Here's another dealer listing the HD600 as discontinued http://www.musiciansbuy.com/SENNHEISER_HD600_HEADPHONES.html

I want these as my next phones but don't have the money right now. The Sennheiser site doesn't say that they are going away, but the manufacturer isn't likely to make such an announcement pre-Christmas. Is there anyone who has an inside source?

I don't know about the Alpha Dogs but I'm planning on upgrading my mad dogs to them when I can and that is an even longer wait. Meanwhile I'll slum it with my TH600s as my primary closed can. I used it on a train full of people the other day with bass heavy trance music on pretty loud and didn't get any stares so I think it's leaks but not enough to be an issue in the situation.
