Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

Just finished listening to some acoustic stuff by In This Moment's lovely Maria Brink, rounding off the night with "Into The Light". It's hard to articulate the satisfaction these headphones have given me.

Sennheiser, never lose this recipe. Ever.

Has anyone tried the HD600 with the HDVA600 / HDVD800? I'm looking for a complementary pair of cans and so far, I'm quite frustrated. Comfort is a big factor for me and Audez'es are too heavy for me, HiFiMans are not comfortable to me (except maybe for the HE-560, which I haven't tried). I've tried the T1, but because it is too similar to the HD800 I found myself constantly comparing them and finding myself preferring the HD800, which eventually leads me to selling them.

The HD600 may be the one, I've tried it before with several other amps and I remember liking them very much. So, has anyone tried the HD600 with the Senn amp?

It has been 12 days since I opened the box. Now, I don't have to imagine how the HD600 sounds like :)

For me, it;s not exactly a whoopee-with-a-jump coming from the HD518. But if the 518 is a cold beer, the 600 is an ice cold beer with a bowl of salted pretzels :)

I've listened to the HDVD800 and was only impressed by its price. You can do better at a fraction of its price.

I've already bought it lol

Besides, I auditioned it alongside BHA-1 and V200 and I preferred it.

The left channel of my HD600 (with HD650 cable) just starting cutting out on me. I think it's the cable... it's too long and I've ran over it with my chair more than once

Sorry to hear about your cable.
Good thing the OEM HD650 replacement-cable is cheap/awesome.

It's actually not the cable itself, I found. When I moved the two-pin plug where it goes into the earcup, the sound in the left channel crackled and cut in and out. So I unplugged it and plugged it back in - now it's back to normal! Weird.
