LF 339... AuwwThat's out of my league, cost me $600 here... BTW, Grado considered as aggressive can right? Maybe it's a suitable match? How does DV 336 sound with HD600 and I wish you can share your tube rolling experience. Deep inside, I wish 336 tube rolling can outperform Crack or at least sit next to each other.
BTW, since you used to listened to both of 336 and 339, mind to share your impressions for these two? Oh my... I'd been spamming here and there asking question.
It is hard to compare the 336 and 339... Well before the 339 I thought the 336/HD600 combo is the best of all but that has changed after I had the 339...
Jokes aside, the 339 is hell lot more powerful but the 336 is already more than enough. Sound is more warm-ish on the 336 with most tubes (I chose a Sylvania 6SN7 with either a RCA 6AS7 or Tung-Sol 5998), while the 339 is more Solid-state by the spectrum. Think darkvoice as really being a dark, warm tone.
A very unique and addictive/seductive sound signature I'll say. And the 336 is a lot cheaper at tube rolling as it uses a single tube instead of pairs. Some people perform different sorts of capacitor mods if you need something to believe your 336 is on par with the Crack, if you know what I mean
