I don't have the resources to test many headphones. I own the 660S, the 600, a Meze Neo and a HiFiMan HE400S. I only use the 660's.

What genres you listen to?
Rock 'n Roll with a little country mixed in.
NOooooo... not what i wanted to read today! I have the HD660s & its my holy grail, my list of headphones i don't use is to long to list but basicly i traded one for a HD600 thinking i'd use it. Guess another for the pile on the floor.I don't have the resources to test many headphones. I own the 660S, the 600, a Meze Neo and a HiFiMan HE400S. I only use the 660's.
Thanks for clarification!
As another qualifier I NEVER use any EQ.
Eh, look at it this way: you've traded one headphone that isn't being used much for another headphone that's not going be used much (so you think) so I guess that's a net zero result?NOooooo... not what i wanted to read today! p.s. Just read up on the comments re: 660S on HF said:Mmmm.... you could also try this from one of the very best headphone reviewers :

Never could understand Tyll's review. Maybe he got a bad pair...
.
If I had to summarise my impressions on HD600 vs HD660S, I'd say the HD600 has better scaling ability and resolve with high end amps than the HD660S (especially with tubes), but the 660S outperforms the 600 on budget amps with superior punch and clarity. On decent mid-tier solid state amplification, I'd say it's pretty much a tie between the two with only minor differences and ultimately comes down to which flavour you prefer.
...and I think that's what Tyll was stating in his 660S review. Not that it's a bad can, but that it's just another variation in an excellent series.
You hit it on the head regarding scalability. I find the 600 imprints less of its personality on the music, as do good higher end cans.
