Hi guys,

I realize the forum is cluttered with threads like this but I did a search and couldn't really find an answer to my question as the phones in question aren't of the same type. Anyway, I'm looking at these three headphones for daily use on my PC and receiver. I listen to a wide arrange of music, from classical to house/drum and base. Which of these three would fare best for me? I'm kinda leaning towards the semi open AKG 240 MK II. They are in the middle of the price range [100eur] and look the best. I have no knowledge of frequency ranges. The HD380 has the widest one [8Hz-27kHz] (good for bass?) and the 240 MK II are again somehwat in the middle [15Hz-25kHz].

Cheers.

lol, well, the hd380 pro does not go over well here.  I had it for a VERY short time and almost immediately returned it.  It's just awful and sounds like trash even after burn in.  It is nothing like you would expect of sennheiser and for that price you can do wayyyy better in the Sennheiser HD438 or especially the 448 and still have cash to spare

Hell, the DBI pro 700 smashes it.  ( 40$ new on ebay, less used here on head fi )

Thanks for that! I researched head-fi using google and found more 240 MK II topics. I used the "Post only" instead of the "Entire site" option, which is why I got so few results using the Advanced search.

I'm fairly sure, I'm going to go for the 240's MK II. At 125€ they seem like good phones.
