Don't forget there is 2 types of signal in a USB cable. Those "1" and "0" aren't the problem in USB most of the time. It's always the 5V line, which is analog, and powers Modi for example. These can be VERY noisy, lack power, drop and so on.
I'm not forgetting that, I was just being sarcastic. My only purpose in saying anything at all was to challenge the notion that the Wyrd is changing the tonality of the music. I've experienced noise and interference issues with a number of DACs, including several of Schiit's. They made the Wyrd to take care of the noisy 5V power problem. They didn't make it to modify the music and make it sound "better." The only way it will sound different or better is by there not being noise from the computer.
For what it's worth, I think the Wyrd is probably a great product and I was planning on buying one myself. But first, I tried out a different USB hub than what I was using and it took care of the problem already.
My point: If you're experiencing dirty power issues or power dropouts with your USB connection, try out the Wyrd and I'm sure it will fix your problems. Do not buy it expecting it to "smooth the highs," "reduce sibilance" or "really fill out the low-end," because that's just silly. Schiit themselves make no claim on that and in fact say otherwise in a careful way.
