A bit of science for the non-scientifically-inclined...
While contemplating the above, it struck me that if one does not thoroughly
understand something - be that chemistry, economics, your phone, whatever - yet uses it every day and actually relies on it, then one is demonstrating that one
believes in that thing. One might almost be said to be taking it on
faith. Whether one intends to be religious or not.
Of course, this describes about 99.9% of us here in the first world.
Though, if one begins to
worship it...that's another level.
On a completely different tangent, while all this talk of 9000 or 10,000 pages is fine, has anyone else noticed that we're about two weeks away from the 10th anniversary of this thread?*** How should we celebrate a solid decade of talkin' Schiit?!?
