huh, wonder where i got that idea. I could have sworn I read about a nasty problem somewhere. Sorry to raise concerns or spread misinfo if that was not the case
There's a somewhat interesting article on trust in The Atlantic. It points out, rightfully, that many things have to be taken on trust (say, the Sun is a sphere and not just a big radiating circle) because, as individuals, we do not have the time/means to verify.
Point of order, Mr. Speaker! With my Hydrogen-alpha solar scope, it is very apparent that the Sun is a sphere. Even with my white-light filter on a 150-600mm lens on my Canon DSLR, images of the Sun clearly show its spherical nature.
I yield the floor back to the Honorable Gentleman with the great taste in audio equipment.

The original "R", which Canon seems to have abandoned in regard to firmware updates and promised features. It's still a great landscape and portrait camera body.
At the end of my RASC presidency and for my 50th birthday, I designed and got an ankle tattoo (my only one) of the symbols for all the planets, including Pluto!
I've read this forum from page 1 (took quite awhile!) and have been active for a year or 2, and I don't think I've ever seen any mention of this BBQ "debate":
Beef or Pork ribs?
I'm in the pork baby back ribs camp, but then again, I'm from NJ.

It's a regional BBQ debate. Geography, not protein. It's good-natured with lots of ribbing. No one really has a beef with anyone, though it can get quite saucy.

sitting here laughing trying not to spill my coffee. Having watched many long lasting sunspots come back into view. Now I'm picturing them falling off the edge into space because they can't make the turn of the edge of a flat circle the sun might be.
Must be where dark matter comes from as they fall off into space.
Actually ... those sunspots aggregate together by way of infinite vacuum attraction to form ... the vantablack that we so arduously desire as soundstage background in our audio gear ...
