First three songs on the Joshua Tree - that's the entirety of my like for U2.
My favorite comment about U2 came from Henry Rollins who said they had the world's worst rhythm section backing up a cabaret singer and a one-trick pony. :)

Point of order, Mr. Speaker! With my Hydrogen-alpha solar scope, it is very apparent that the Sun is a sphere. Even with my white-light filter on a 150-600mm lens on my Canon DSLR, images of the Sun clearly show its spherical nature.

I yield the floor back to the Honorable Gentleman with the great taste in audio equipment.

The Sun is not Flat, but the Earth may be. :joy_cat:

A bit of science for the non-scientifically-inclined...

While contemplating the above, it struck me that if one does not thoroughly understand something - be that chemistry, economics, your phone, whatever - yet uses it every day and actually relies on it, then one is demonstrating that one believes in that thing. One might almost be said to be taking it on faith. Whether one intends to be religious or not.

Of course, this describes about 99.9% of us here in the first world.

Though, if one begins to worship it...that's another level.

On a completely different tangent, while all this talk of 9000 or 10,000 pages is fine, has anyone else noticed that we're about two weeks away from the 10th anniversary of this thread? How should we celebrate a solid decade of talkin' Schiit?!?

Tell us all about it----!
Where to start - this may take a few posts - cooking before the charcoal or wood is ready or worse still still smelling of BBQ fluid , cooking with over - hot coals , raw inside scorched outside , not allowing enough time - poor technique on cooking of ribs , brisket etc etc , bloody awful salads , proportion of sides to BBQ just plain wrong , tiny tables , 12 hr cooking/smoking unheard of , More tomorrow oh and did I mention Watneys Red Barrel !!

Fixed the quote in your sig file: "Inedible is inedible and you don't get extra brownie points for making it twice as inedible..."
