I'm definitely an AKG 81DJ fan, if nothing else. Between their bass and isolation, and my newfound discovery of electronica, I am incredibly pumped and focused at work so much that the day flies by and at the end of it I'm shocked at how much I've accomplished. If anyone wants my pair, they can pry them from my cold, dead hands.

Please wait until rigamortis sets in for the full affect, though.

Received my 240S that I picked up in the for sale section and have been listening to it for the last week. For non-critical listening, I enjoy it a lot. On some songs the bass is just too overwhelming compared to my other phones, but overall, a fun and inexpensive headphone!

I don't believe in this whole "teams" BS, but I do have an AKG - the K340 - and I like it a lot. I plan to have more AKG's in the future, probably the K1000 and maybe the K240. I've heard the K501 and liked it quite a bit too. If I do build an all-dynamic rig (the K340 doesn't count) it will probably be around an AKG, most likely the K1000.

...for what it is worth, I prefer the K340 to the K1000 in almost every way.

Soon to be back on board "team AKG". Had a K701 in the past, then got an RS-1 (which I love), but have since sold that and am returning to the K701. And I'm using a K81 DJ for my portable setup.

I'll chime in,I sold my Senn HD 650 for the 701 and had a chance to listen to the Denon D5000 on a lone from my dealer and came back to the 701.It's just a more accurate headphone in my opinion.

BTW, My moded k-501s (w/701pads&disk), continue to impress, now plugged into the Opera, talk about phones that scale up well
