love mine so much I could not deal with shipping them to Vin at Red Wine Audio this week. 1st time I ever felt paranoid about shipping anything. so this morning I drove 85 miles to Red Wine to deliver them (along with the Stefan Audio Arts replacement cable that Vin will install for me).
I have Gs1000's and E500's to see me through the next few days; but I admit that this is very difficult. feels like it did the first time my daughter went away overnight as a kid. she came back the better for the experience, as I'm sure my AKG's will, but i hate this. (hey, my daughter's on the team too w/ her akg701's. she wanted my k1000's soon as she heard 'em; but I had to practice tough love. she'll have to buy her own or wait to inherit).

K1000 (with hard wired Equinox cable), K701
I spent some time with the K501 and K601 at the National Meet and they were both nice but the K701's were my favorite. This came as a big relief because I already had my pair on order at the time.
