Reviews + impressions thread: Final Audio Design Pandora Hope VI (interesting dynamic + BA full size headphones)
Jul 24, 2016 at 5:13 AM Post #1,591 of 2,057
Does anyone know what the compatible cables are for the FAD Pandora Hope VI are?
I want to get a replacement cable as I'm sick of having to use an adaptor to use with my 1/4" sources.
I need a cable with a 1/4" jack on one end and compatible with the Pandora locking mechanism.
HELP!

A bit(!) expensive!

Oh ok. Then may be build a new cale from xuanvu or some cable shop is less expensive than buying from online. Plus you can know the structure of the cable. Viet Nam has a lot of cable maker. Hope you find one soon mate ^^

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm looking around but 2x3.5mm mono seems to be a fairly irregular configuration... might take some time finding the right one!

I saw the ALO one as well... It's $700AUD and it's ridiculous to spend $700 on cables for a $900 headphone... I just can't justify that!
There was also a $1500AUD custom option as well somewhere, but again, I do not know who buys that stuff.

Hi,

I'm massively interested by these Final Sonorous VI's. I could listen to them quickly yesterday. The only 'problem' I noticed is the slide mechanism which seems to be not so good. People have to use rubber bands. I've read somewhere that this problem is now solved with the Sonorous VI.

Pandora Hope VI: problem with the mechanism
Sonorous VI: problem solved

Is that correct? Thank you.

No issues at all with mine - the mechanism and adjustments work perfectly

Here are mine with Denon d600 pads and this cable. http://www.ebay.com/itm/281525654696?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
The cable sounds same as stock and has a screw on 1/4 inch adapter

What is the setup that you guys use for these baby? What's dac or amp that you use with it?

I am planning to go for the chord mojo. What do you guys think?

I run mine with my DacPort (classic & Slim) with Macbook Pro as source (mostly ALAC with a few high bit rate MP3) but will be saving my pennies for the Mojo! I also tried them with my old Ray Samuels Predator and the slightly warmer sound seemed to really suit. Haven't actually tried with my DacMagic Plus yet.

Worth bearing in mind that these are so ridiculously easy to drive, they will still sound great from any half decent source, including your iPhone/Pod etc.

So looks like I finally found my nirvana in the "Type C" pads! (Thanks to a fellow Headfier...)

To me they offer the slightly improved sound (Sharper/punchier bass, less fatiguing treble, slightly wider soundstage) of the flatter Type B pads but are more comfortable...if not quite as comfortable as the Type A, certainly comfortable enough.

Definitely worth a try.

Do you know where you can get them in America?
