Indeed. Not sure why anyone would pay the $50 premium for an extra 8GB on onboard storage. The price difference for such a small increment reminds me of the dot.com days when computer/laptop memory was insane.
I'm really sorry for asking what I'm sure is a stupid question but I'm getting a bit of a mixed message on this so I want to make sure. The 601 does NOT play 24/96 files, correct? I mean, it plays them but by way of downsampling them to CD resolution? It doesn't actually playback them at 24 bit resolution? Is this correct?
Does it say Slim on it? Did the normal size one look different to the one in the picture? Reason I ask is that my 601 looks identical to the one in the picture
No down-sample , it plays 24/96! from where did you get this idea?
Thanks. Post 391 (and others) was what made me unsure whether the 601 plays 24 bit files without any downsampling etc. Felt like I had to ask.
