Any one has both 601LE and Pono? How does it compare?

My HM-601LE can't read all of my music files. I'm using SanDisk 64 GB Extreme SD Card.

I've Rockbox installed on the device but sometimes I want to use Stock Firmware. Rockbox doesn't have this problem.

Anyone knows how to fix?

I am about to buy a HM601 LE, but I am seriously struggling to decide whether do I really need it or not. I have RE 400, SR225i and HD 650 and currently using my RE 400 outside through my smart phone. I am not sure if it's worth to get it, since using Spotify on the go is very convenient and I'm not sure if I would notice the difference with RE-400s. On the other hand, I'm not sure pairing it with HD 650 is a good idea and if it can drive HD650 conveniently.

Might worth to give it a go with Grado, though.

The SR22i is a very good match.

Sounds like a good deal to me.

I just bought 601 with re400 for $116
Is it a good deal? This is my first DAP.

That's a pretty decent deal for the combo, to begin your journey ($99 for the bundle excl. S/H).....but only downside is you will never look back under $100 IEMs anymore.

but yeah there are budget "wow factor" IEMs from Vsonic, Xiaomi etc for their price offerings you might want to consider and give a shot to see how they fare against waterlines.

The player is so simple to use being very basic UI but bit bulky in size compared to other players, you can Rockbox it. Baby the 400's as the cables aren't that good, otherwise no flaws.

How does a a non-IT geek like myself (strictly analog electronics!) go about Rockboxing it? I still haven't found simple, clear instructions.

There is information in this thread and a separate thread. Make Google your friend.

From memory I had more success with the replace base.rkw in the firmware version. Sorry but all my info is on a crashed hard drive.

You have to format the card as FAT32. It's a workaround.
