If you like the sound presentation to be frontal then you won't like the DBA, if you like the multichannel SACD feel then DBA is what you want.

Hmmm....I dunno if I want my music to be in surround sound like Saving Private Ryan.  I mean would I seriously hear a Piano behind me or under my butt?  Soundstage is a lesser priority to me than other considerations but this might be too much?

@ClieOS: So I guess for alternative tips silicon tips from Shure, Westone, Etymotic would work best since they can be stretched to fit without having a core like the olives? That's a bit disappointing since olives were by far my favorite tip when I still had earphones that nozzle size. Although they being analytical is a good sign for me since that's my preference.

I had used DBA-02 and Westone olives with no problem at all.

Sorry for side tracking this thread, but would like to have recommendations on portable amps to drive DBA-02 out of Rockboxed Ipod. I wouldn´t want to pay more than $150 for amping. I´ll feed the amp from Ipod's dock output. thanks in advance.
Jose

For under 150, I think the Ibasso T3 may be your best bet.  it's uner 150 including shipping.

Not having heard the T3 I would be surprised if it surpassed the Mini3 but the price varies depending how handy you are with a soldering iron as well some other things. It usually goes for around 100 on the FS threads and typically is sold at a bit over 100 by a builder. Anyway you may find more luck in that big portable amp thread in the portable amp subforum.
