Thanks LFF,

In terms of wideness (not sure if this is the right term, sorry) is the FA-011 presents like listening music in a concert hall or like in a small room? (or is this called the soundstage?)

btw, looking forward to your review of the HA-02

Thanks.

That depends on the recording. The FA-011 is certainly not a closed sounding headphone when it comes to soundstage.

I wish I had the HA-02 coming for a review. I don't think Fischer is planning on sending me one.

Have currently owned Fa-011 for a few months, love em. Now I'm looking for a desktop amp/dac around 200-300$. One that will have good synergy with the Fa-011. Anyone have a suggestion ? :=)

Thought about that but it's not a dac/amp only an amp. Contemplating Ha-02 + HRT Music Streamer II ( around 400$ together) or the much cheaper option: Audinst HUD-MX1 that is dac/amp combined. (179$) ... Cant decide though...

What about FiiO D3 + HA-02?
D3 only cost about $30 (but only got coaxial or optical in put)

Well, I haven't try any of those though.  Blind suggestions...
Maybe someone else could throw in more inputs?

Thanks for the review. Is there a decent place to order these from nowdays?

If you are talking about fa-010, you can order it from GD-Audiobase. I know it shows as out of stock, just leave an inquiry. It will be shipped in several days regardless.

Thanks for the brief comparison, I just have a question with the color consistency of the wood enclosures. It started out having a deep reddish brown color which really looked good to being a nearly deep brown or almost black color. Will the darker color remain for the rest of the production run or will there be a chance that the lighter color be brought back?

Most stock for now is in black color. However going back to lighter one might happen in the future.

I just finished reading tho whole thread
What would you recommend for first pair of Fishers FA011 or 003??
I listen mostly to classical (a lot of opera), jazz, ethnic and much less other genres!
I am also waiting for a Fiio E9i to come the next days.
The rest of the set up: mac mini, prodidy cube (dac-h/p amp) or this wolfson based dac (http://cgi.ebay.com/DAC-WM8740-4-0-Wolfson-up-sampling-24bit-192KHz-USB-/220814672339?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item33699481d3) with the m2tech hiface, AKG240mkII and Grado sr60 phones

Anyone?
There are some changes to my set up though!
I have returned the 240mkIIs and I am waiting the K701s... Fiio E9i remains!!!

Ever since owning the DBA-002's, Tau and the Eternas (v.1) I knew I had to get the 011's to try out after reading LFF's impression on them and since Fischer has been cooking up good things up there sleeves ever since entering the audio scene.

Ordered mine from gd-audiobase on the 7th, Shipped status on the 8th, haven't received a tracking number (never did with previous purchases except the Tau)....hoping these arrive in 2 weeks. :D

Will keep you lads updated and posted because this is going to be a great can for modding.

These are really great headphones for the price. I just wish there was different pad options because the stock pads itches my face overtime.

Wow, those FA-011's are stunningly beautiful. Can anyone give me a link to where I could buy them? I noticed Turtle Beach sells a re-branded version but I don't want a gaming headset and I want the wooden headphone cups, haha.

Thanks LFF for such a great review.

I have read every page and am interested in these. I have the FA-003 at the moment and really love them.

I also have a Fiio E7/E9 for home and Fiio E11 for portable. However, reading the reviews there is comment that the E9 is not the best solution with these. I recall reading that a class A amp is needed.

I am in the UK, so what thoughts do you all have as to the most suitable home amp?

Well patience it's not my speciality. I read loads on here and settled for a Little Dot MKIV. I also got a Fiio L7 to enable me to use my Fiio E7 as a standalone DAC for the Little Dot. At some later stage budget permitting I might upgrade the DAC but am at a loss what to use with my setup. So many options it just got too much.

I still need to buy the FA-011 and a new DAC. Alas I need to raise a little more dosh first. This place is sending me bankcrupt :)
