I had the dt990 250 ohm, but I would say on those bass quantity was higher but quality less than fa-011.

Of the three Schiit amps (Asgard, Valhalla, and Lyr), the Lyr seemed to be the best match.  The Asgard was also pretty good, but I would probably avoid the Valhalla with the FA-011 (bass became overwhelming).
 
Also, I tried plugging these into the headphone out of my Yamaha RX-497 speaker amp.  I was blown away by how terrible they sounded -- muddy and bloated.  For some reason, the FA-011, more than any other headphone I've tried, really fell apart when I tried to drive it from my Yamaha.

Ordered on the 24th last month and still waiting... At this point I have given up... I should have just used fedex or the ups option, I don't  know where mine are...

I didn't see a UPS/FEDEX option, I would have definitely gone for that option.  Ordered 3/25, Shipped 4/4.  Based on the posts, sounds like it will be worth the wait.

That option wasn't available to pick from the website, but in their FAQ it said they ship using those options, you just have to tell them and they will charge the cost to you.
The russian post is the default option. In hind sight, FedEx/UPS would have been good.

So..these Russian/Chinese headphones which cost like $130 and use Turtle Beach parts are better than Grado in every way, have better bass than Beyerdynamic DT990, and are better in every way than Sennheiser HD650..?  Still waiting for more reviews.

Jeeze, shipped on 4/4 and haven't received?  That means I'm screwed with my 4/12 shipping.  D:  I've been without headphones for a while, so if I knew this was going to happen, I would've bought a backup pair to be sold after the Fischers come in.  :/

The Fiio E7/E9 amp/dac has great synergy with the FA-011. I have never been a big Senn fan because all of the headphones I've heard from them always sounded veiled to my ears. On the contrary, I was a huge fan of the Grado 225i. Yes, I would have to say that the FA-011 is quite better than that Grado (that's the only Grado I'ver ever owned).

Nah, they're not that good.  But they are very good for $120 + $20 shipping.
 
1.  Not better than Grado in every way.  I'll still take my SR60i for rock over the FA-011.
 
2.  Better bass than DT990?  Not really, just different.  I think bass quality is about on equal footing between the two.  I think the DT990 emphasizes midbass more, whereas the FA-011 emphasizes the deeper bass more.  Overall I'd say the FA-011 has more quantity, but the DT990 may have the edge in extension.
 
3.  Better than HD650 in every way?  Definitely not.  I didn't particularly like the HD650, but I would still acknowledge that the HD650 is technically the better headphone.  I think the HD650 is more resolving, and it has more detail, a more neutral balance, a larger soundstage, and better imaging.  Also, the FA-011's treble can be a bit fatiguing, whereas I didn't find the HD650 fatiguing at all.  I'd also say the HD650 was more comfortable, if it wasn't for their very strong clamping force.
 
Just wanted to provide a bit of a reality check to bring this back down to earth.  The FA-011 is not the second coming, but it is a very solid offering at its price point and has a unique sound signature.
