Eke, congrats, now you hearing what i am hearing. cables can make big difference, otherwise high end cable makers would be long gone...

and T1 is another surprise you will discover, this little amp made me stop upgrading amps, i now seriously doubt if buying Vorzuge would give me as much sonic lift as its price suggests. perhaps RSA Intruder or 71B?

in any case if you can borrow AK or Rwak and try this combo, you will love it.

Try the intruder, especially with balanced cables, your wallet probably won't like it ;p

I disagree on those two counts. The change I'm hearing is not "big". It's a relatively small change, but it's a change nonetheless.

Secondly, the T1 I'm listening to right now has a lot of circuitry noise and buzz. I'm also not hearing much of any improvement over my iP4 headphone out. I might be crucified for that, but I just don't.

Thankfully the post office flubbed their delivery and I've got the G-2 in my ears at the moment. Screwin around with the Tralucent S/G cable as well now that Eke has brought up that he can hear differences. I'll be listening intently in the coming days in preparation of a write up. Then I'll send my S/G 1P2 over to VWinter so he can do some listenin' of his own. Hopefully he'll have his G-2 by then.

1. Woohoo about the post office issue being resolved.

2. :D

3. Looking forward to your write up! Will it be posted here?

Strange I've never heard the T1 as having a bunch of noise? It's pretty black to my ears. One of the cleanest sounding comparable to the UHA6 MKII and O2 amp. I'm curious when you say it's noisy? Do you have any sources plugged into the amp when this is happening? If so try and unplug the source then plug your IEM into the amp and raise the volume to max. You should hear no noise induced by the amp itself but rather the source you plug into the amp. Meaning its your sources (the amp is basically amplifying the noise that is already on your sources)..

Yep. Hope to get some good listening in during my days off plus July 4th

Wow well then something is wrong. Sorry to hear that. Reminds me of my older desktop lol. Was too noisy to use from the HO.

Yep, just listened again and the circuit is still noisy. I wonder if the solder joints on the hpo got crossed with something else.

Now about the performance, ididnt mean anything negative when I said it sounds no different from my ip4. It functions beautifully in that it just amplifies what's there. I don't hear any coloration or artificial soundstage. The g2 and 1p2 are pretty sensitive so I don't believe they needto be amped provided you have a good source.

It could also be any jack adapters used in the chain? Suspect even a poorly made terminated cable contributes to the buzz and noise.

When i used a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm female sonic gear adapter, the buzz and hiss on my ALO rxMK3-B was ridiculous.
Once removed, the hiss came down to a very slight one.

After that episode, can no longer think "an adapter is just an adapter" anymore. It does matter big time.

I didn't play with the T1 other than to briefly try it with my iPhone. My impression was it gave the music a better overall foundation with a bit better definition, I can't say I noticed any noise though. Maybe somethings happened to it in transit?
