This mod sounds really really promising!
Maybe by the time it's going to be "made", Aurisonics will have EU distributors ;)

Guys, calm down lol.

He just thought of the idea. It hasn't even been put into motion yet. The mod won't even affect the models that don't have a bass port.

The hype is an integral part of this hobby :D

Hi there, they all have a bass vent, just some models have a user-adjustible bass vent. So, it's a change that will be for all models.

I'd also like to say how awesome it is that Dale is continually listening and making his products the best they can be.

Does ASG-2 have much more bass when bass port is turned on?
I'm wondering if these have more bass than FX700 or IE80

Yes. I went into detail about the bass port in the original review.

It's at least level with the IE8, if memory serves.

ahhh, if that's true. It's possibly going to hurt my wallet.

If you really consider what you're getting at the price of the ASG-2, and how it compares to iems that cost multiple times its price, it and the Flat-4 are virtually no-brainers.

Where does that leave the MP8320 and the RE-400?

It's not all about the value, if it has less bass than FX700 or IE80, I don't see the point of getting it. I like what you wrote about the mids and treble.
I really doubt it has more bass than FX700 or FXZ200. But I'm not going to think that way until someone who owns those IEMs and compares it with AS-2 or ASG-2.
Or until I compare them myself of course.

And if the bass port is opened all the way, does the bass get bloated? I listen to music with tons of bass. There is so much bass in my music that when I listen to the tracks in your review, I consider them to be bassless. My first impression was that how can the bass be compared if there isn't much bass in the music?
Well, that's just me. No offense intended.

No need to apologize for your tastes.

I know ericp10 owns the AS-2 and FXZ-100, along with the CKS1000 and other bassy iems. He'd be better answering your questions.

The ASG-2 with the bass port all the way open for sure has more bass than the FX700. It basically sounds like just bass with some mids and treble in the distant background.
