But does the bass gets bloated when you turn the bass port all the way?
And how deepness and impact of bass (drum) between ASG-2 and FX700?

Yup.

The FX700's bass at higher volumes is like getting hit by the power of a Mike Tyson (in his prime) punch, with the tightnses of a Manny Pacquiao fist.

The ASG-2 with the ports unleashed, is like getting hit by someone stronger than Mike Tyson, but with these gloves:

Mind you, it's been a year since I hear the FX700, so take that with a grain of salt.

But I imagine you can turn the bass port a bit without bloatness? Or else, there isn't much of a point using the bass port.

and I like your analogy of the boxers. That's how actually I would like describe an IEM with excessive EQ on the bass region.
But just to make sure I understand you, the ASG-2's bass is more impactful and deeper than FX700?
I know you don't have FX700 anymore, but did you specifically remember this or are you just vaguely judging this from your memory?

I specifically remember being fatigued by the FX700's concentrated bass at higher volumes.

I can't say that the ASG-2 is deeper. I do know that both phones' sub-bass, while very present, is somewhat overshadowed by mid-bass.

Ok, that's the last I say on the subject before I fully venture into talking-out-me-arse territory.

Thanks. I might contact Dale and see if he's willing to send me a pair to try it out. Or if there is a return policy, that would work too.
Do you know how I can contact Dale directly?

I do not know the asg2 but several other iems are quite bassy but still nice. The IE800 for instance. Sounds wounderful if like the bass. 334 too though a bit bloated. With a sig close to 334 you also have the StageDiver 3...very bassy.

I remember the FX700 bass exactly like this. That thing hit like a sledgehammer. Hope that lets you stay out of talking-out-me-arse territory lol, I hear customs charges are a b*^#% there.

Also, I will be giving The Lumineers album a listen tomorrow. :D

ASG-2 is still not advertised on Aurisonics website yet... I wonder how long before ASG-2 with cross-valve mod come into existence... guess it'll be a really agonizing wait...

Again, if you want a pair you can contact Aurisonics directly. Thy are in the process of putting up a new website, so it would be counter-productive to add the new product to the old site. As for the mod, you don't even know if you want it yet. The ASG-2's bass could be perfect for you as is.

Listened to The Lumineers just like you recommended. It's really a chilling album. One of the few I've heard that I feel almost demands to be listened to all the way through. Slow It Down on the Heaven V literally gave me goosebumps.
