I wasn't planning on it, but what would you like it to be compared to?

I just thought it would be interesting to throw EX1000 into the mix. Also they are older than all the other iems in the comparison, so more people probably have heard them (I haven't) and can use them as a point of reference. And aren't they priced in the same ballpark as ASG2?

I am one of the few who actually own K3003 and S-EM6.

I am the one who do not admire K3003 over S-EM6. They are just so much different from each other and both are very good in different ways.

Also read other threads but I find the attitude towards S-EM6 shown by the OP is too extremeradical.

Just to remind that we all have different senses towards sound.

May be ASG-2 is an interesting piece, but I would rather go out and try myself because it seems we have surprisingly different preferences.
Imagine Earsonics too is surprised how much anyone can dislike their sound.

Should I get the asg 2 for 450$? I want some kind of upgrade in my phonak 232's mids while not sacrifing much trebles quality and quanity. I listen to metals, pop, dance and a bit of vocals, mainly driven by iphone 4. A comparison with phonak 232 or westone 4 is appreciated. And I didnt enjoy the sm64 because the treble is too "smooth" and the bass is too slow

400-450 range is fairly standard for a used asg 2. Not a bad deal. There arent many asg 2 that go on sale in the for sale forums to statt off

Strongly recommend demo before spending that kind of $$, I've learned the hard way.   The Aurisonic is still a dark sounding IEM despite the new line,IMHO.

How does it compare to the sm64? The sm64 is too dark for me so if the asg2's that level of darkness, then I'll try sth else
