I thought ASG is a basshead IEM? or only when the bass port is partly open?

I explained this to you earlier in the thread. Remember the whole thing about "air movement throughout the FR" ? I put a lot of thought into that :p

Yep, and Carlsan is the one who sent it out.

BTW, I finally got a working Tralucent T1, and an extra silver/gold cable:

As expected, this new T1 is dead silent. The other one was definitely defective.

So this is where all the ASG-2 owners are hanging out. I can't seem to find any vendors with the ASG-2 in stock, but if any owners here are contemplating on selling theirs, please send me a PM. Hope this post wasn't intrusive, but I really want to get my hands on a pair

I'm not an owner yet, but Andy said I should have my ASG-2 in 2-3 weeks. So I'm hyped for that.

So..... The ASG-2

1) These absolutely have the potential to be top tier or TOTL or whatever the screw people are calling them these days.
2) The dynamic is incredibly fast and tight in the midrange, much to my delight.
3) I need to turn the bass port ALL THE WAY DOWN.

Heh. Yep. Even with the KURO here, these things aren't backin' down in any sense. The sheer power across the range is really impressive and makes other phones sound pretty anemic to my ears. Glad you've finally got a chance to hear them V

I'm hanging out on shigzeo's site (hey I remembered to use lower cased letters for you there man) Ohm-image and even he's got a couple of nice words for the G-2 here (although hes does get one detail wrong - the dynamic covers the whole range, while the BAs are there to augment the highs ;)  )  :

I hope he gets his hands on a pair, as I was thinkin' the phones would totally be up his alley

Are your incoming ones in your possession or did you grab a demo from somewhere (like a meet)?

I closed them all the way down, then opened them up a hair from there. it's tricky to get them perfectly the same.

An amp is definitely necessary, as is the right tips apparently.
