[REVIEW] Aurisonics ASG-2 & 2.5 (with many comparisons)

Hmmm, well I have had them for a few months now and I have had moments where they sound great and moments when they don't.

I personally think its the Sureseal tips so I've ordered the Comply 500 as well as the A3.

If the Complys make a huge difference I will send the A3 back.

How does the different types of cables change the sound (copper, silver, gold)?

Comply tips, size Large , really distorts the 2.5 for me. Changed to Medium Comply tips and it opens the mids and treble. Guess my ear canals are narrow.

Finally managed to get a few weeks listening time with the old Aurisonics Harmony (better late than never - thanks to @theUKMrTfor arranging the loaner) - my impressions in the Head Gear section (including a comparison to the ASG 2.5) are on the link below:

As always, any suggestions for improvement/comments/general observations are always very much appreciated.

Quick question for you guys: I bought my ASG 2.5 a while ago and haven't been totally satisfied with my purchase...despite everyone raving about how good these are it seems like my pair is lacking coherence/extension. Does anyone happen to know an internal contact who could evaluate my pair or should I call Fender support? Any info would be appreciated :)

I bought it used from Amazon a few months ago. Everything appeared to be in excellent condition- maybe the seller noted the same problems (which is why they were selling them). I haven't spent much time listening to them as I haven't been able to get good SQ, unfortunately :frowning2:

I refurbished some of my 2.5s to get them back to perfect condition. I shipped six of them to Fender to be sure they are in good shape. The connection where the two pins go into is a weak point. The other weak point is over turning the hass port screw.
