Nah, I'll just stick with my brown British Lambskin and brushed stainless steel thanks. (Momentum forever woo!)
I have a frivolous reputation to uphold don'cha'know.
(but I do actually want to try these out at some point... I hope they're better than the horrible stuff Monster produced when they went their separate ways)
monster turbine pro? (read ljokerl's review on them) Monster DNA pro (actually, DNA pro is rather neutral and slightly bright to my ears.)? N-Tunes (great portable if you can get it for about 60$, that looks and sounds great)?

Remember the Sennheiser HD25 1 mkII cans? I love this can and the Adidas branding is the icing on the cake for me (& jude has these cans so go easy on any surreptitious comments - lol )
And now....Sennheiser with their urbanites attempt to join the glitch-hop party crew of cans, let's embrace this new change of direction by Sennheiser into the valley of bass in the place London sound signatures - why?
Because bass is a heap of fun and the backbone to most music as we know it, so pumping up the bass is just added fun times - let's roll with it
Bass is like the sun, it's fun and brings out all the beautiful party people
This track sounds awesome with all my bass headphones, so I'm eager to try out the new Sennheiser Urbanite's with it.

For all the headcan spotters - the DJ in the video is pumping the bass with Pioneer HDJ-2000 cans
But just how bass low can the Sennie Urbanites go?
If the Urb's get anywhere near the bass quality of this can v - well they can join the cristal bass crew of achievement
A very effective way to test the Urbanites bass impact/slam is the Extreme Bass Clubs "Bass/Paper" test - it's genius in its simplicity (invented by head-fi's original chronic basshead Hawaiibadboy ) place half a sheet of A4 copier paper over one earcup with the other pinching the paper down - then you amp and EQ a bass heavy track and the SPL bass air reacts with the paper to varying degree, acting as a visual of the headphones bass impact.
Here's an example of how a bass prolific summit- fi flagship headphone performs under the bass/paper test: The work of art that is the FOSTEX TH900 - I can tell you now that the Sennheiser Urbanites will be nowhere near this kind of bass impact capabilities - but the TH900 is not king of the bass impact hill - for that you'll need to check the Extreme Bass Club Top 10 headphones

Cut in half sheet of fresh out the pack A4 printer paper used
No tape used - paper placed over left earcup with right ear cup holding/sealing

Maybe its time to embrace the bass?
Extreme Bass Club is watching out for the Urb's 4 sure
I'm starting to love the design of the 'Urbanite', the fact that Sennheiser made them needs more time to sink in though. These won't replace my 'Momentum over-ear' as an all-around headphone, they could be my "commute headphones", but ironically, I live in a tropical country (Philippines), so those white pads could mean trouble (hopefully, they're easy to clean).
taking a look at Senn's website and at their urbanite on ear and urbanite XL cans, i realised the 2 different urbanite models have the same headband, and the urbanite on ear has too small ear cups for the headband, making the headband look oversized and ungainly. With the XL, it is just right.
For me I like this new urbanite look (though clearly a knee jerk reaction to the clear & present danger threat of the sublime beats solo2) and their Momentum - but IMO Sennheiser can be forgiven for any faux pas should I ever encounter mainly because they brought the amazing HD800 to market - just wow  (but far from a bass headphone lol but good for dissecting your fave audio trx under a electron microscope)
Wonder if Dre & Apple have a dabble in high end and release a iBeats800 - now that would be something else

Yeah... no.. the DNA pro is monster's new stuff - it's totally different to the full sized headphones they first produced which were just garbage for the money being asked for them.
Not really interested in IEM's... for arguments sake let's just leave those out of it.
Sounds gnarly - I'm in 4 the win if it happens and as long it plays glitch-hop without N E glitches

Moar Urb video! Unboxing! It's like watching someone unbox stuff!(I watched that dude with the beard and shirt on the other page and actually felt dumber for watching it, but this reviewer in viddy below is far more concise and articulate for sure )

Honestly - I like the look of the urbanites, but did you see the crumby storage/travel cloth rag Sennheiser have trolled into the bundle - shockingly poor IMO , does anyone know what material the earcups are made from - metal or plastic?
But I've gotta say I much prefer the overall form and styling of these in below link v :
.....is it that difficult to release a pair of bigger pads????? You guys (sennheiser) have the perfect headphone (the over ear momentum) for everything and you guys screw up everything by choosing dwarf pads....... ;(

My ears fit in the Momentum perfectly and I find them very comfortable.
Same goes for the beats studio 2.0 but the beats ear pads are larger than the Momentums but the opening for your ears is only marginally larger than the Momentums - photo link below maybe not show clearly.
v-moda have option of larger earpads on their m-100 and I can't see why other manufacturers can't add this option to cans that are in the kind of price range as the Momentums or Studios.
This is one area I think other brands should be taking a leaf out of v-moda's book from and it would also be great if manufacturers not only had options of different size pads, but materials.
Sennheiser HD8 DJ come supplied with leather I think or maybe synthetic pads fitted but also with a velour spare set supplied in the carry case - AiAiAi TMA-1's do the same, so it's not like this isn't been done already.
