Todd - dont you find having all the electronics under the screen to be a distraction? Most setups I have seen have the electronics away to one side of the room...speakers are perfect where they are.

Any reason why you went for that config? Space constraints?

Space constraints are part of the problem but I don't find it distracting, just crowded.

Also, I'm using bi-wire Cardas Golden Reference cables. I'm not rich enough for a 20 ft run of speaker cables or interconnects that would be required to place the rack over to the side.

Someday when I get either a new house or an addition to this one, I'll separate the audio and video systems.

i got bored today so i put these togeater:
jb1kwk.jpg

they are the delco electronics 6X9's out of a 92 buick in an enclosure from wal mart
suprisingly they do not sound bad, they add a lot of needed treble to my speaker system, however they are noticably louder than my floorspeakers so i may have to add a pot to the system to get them to sound right

YAY FREE SPEAKERS!

EDIT: i finally organized everything now and got some halfway decent pics

Here's where I do pretty much everything. Creative HN-505 hanging on the wall, Koss portaPros hanging above my computer tower, front 3 speakers, Zen Micro charging inside its Altoids tin case. My desk looks a lot messier than it usually does.

Well, my listening room is my bedroom...

My watching room is the lounge, so no pics of my new 42" Plasma I'm afraid lol.

Anyway, here goes:

Wow, some VERY nice stuff! I'm drooling, though I love my systems......

Main system- Speakers are Eminent Technology LFT-16's (odd build with tha split down the center, but sound is AWESOME). They sit on Audio Resolution stands, and those on top of ~250lb blocks of granite! Yowch....

system1.jpg

Rack - MMF-5 player on top, GCHA amp and Primare R-20 phono pre next, Eastsound CD-E5 after that, Belles 250i integrated after that, and Sony SCD-CE775 (SACD only) on bottom.

Headphones that are out (more elsewhere):

Bedroom system - mod'd Toshiba DVD, Dynahi amp, Sony CD-3K, and my deceased grandparents, such incredible folks!

Here's my humble College-Fi setup. Since this picture was taken, I've sold the HF-1's and gave my SD-3950 to my parents. Without a DAC, I really can't stand listening to it anymore, and my budget won't allow for one right now. Also, I'm getting one of those Corran tables from Ikea, which should save a good bit of space
