That was a copy of Jean-Michel Jarres Zoolook, which is my second most played LP after Alf, however mother dearest left it in the sun and it warped to hell.

The solution was simple, buy a new copy and make the old one into a bowl. I think it looks rather snazzy, don't even keep anything in it.

Heat your oven to about 200 degrees C, put the record over the top of a ceramic bowl and leave it in for 3-4-5 minutes. Then remove and let it cool (i put it in the sink and filled it with cold water to speed things up.

Presto!

That's probably the Koss ESP6 at more then 1kg though the Stax 4070 isn't far off at 630g+cable.

Rachael Ray showed how to make these on Food TV. She used color LP's.
The beauty of this, is that if you don't like the way it comes out, you can reform the record over and over again.

It reeks havoc on your cartidge though

The AMT is about the same. Maybe a little less.

Its against the opposite wall. I just gave up on trying to have a computer set in the speaker sweet point.

It's amazing how much space your room actually has! It doesn't look that big, yet you still manage to get a dedicated listening station in with all the rest

I'm a self proclaimed audionewbie, and don't have much yet, but I recently ordered a Caffeine tin amp and am looking at getting my first pair of cans (probably Grado SR-80), for now, here is my current "ipod setup" and my desktop setup.
