Insane rig SpudHarris.
How much better do the ES5 sound out of that setup?
Do you feel that it is worth the $1000+?
I used to use portable amps but now I am just happy with a J3, TWspc cable and ES5s.

Haha, yeah didn't want to crowd the picture. Nah the rig you see goes in my bag and the ipod and ES5's trail out of the bag so I can listen and still change tracks/albums etc...Peeps don't know what I'm carrying and I'm not one for showing off so it doesn't come out my bag when I'm out.
 
It sounds amazing, my home amps don't get much air time at the moment.

Out of curiosity, what is the benefit of chaining both DACs (CLAS and DB2)? Is it just to end up with a balanced signal from the CLAS?

What the ES5's or the CLAS>DB2>PB2 (both about $1000)?
 
The ES5's are easily the best customs I've owned and balanced just takes on a whole new level. I feel like I've been impaired but now everything is clear, it's amazing....

Just finished making my new cables and I'm really pleased how they came out. The Hirose interconnect is 7N Solid and the RCA ti RCA is Cryo Silver.

Nice rig by the way.  A lot of people havent yet heard the difference that pulling digital from an ipod makes.  How much of an improvement do you think the balanced amp makes?  I considered an RSA 71/b but in the end went the compact alo rx mk2 route...if this can be considered compact.  
 
I would love to see a picture of the whole rig strapped up even though you have said that the ipod is carried separately to the amp/dac/CLAS.
