I carries a similar rig for awhile and loved it. Sub the 800 for an HE 500 and you're there.
Are HE 500 good for portable usage? From what I read they are heavier and they are open and I guess prone to get hurt =(
Was funny how I got asked in a McDonalds how my setup compares to Beats =(
They're terrible for portable usage...but then again so are the LCD 2...and the HD 800...and any other top tier can for the most part (ED.8 sure).
They're heavy but I found them more comfortable than the LCD 2s. It's really just to have good sound with you rather than practicality.
My favorite portable that I've owned was the HD 25-13 with a proper amp. 600 Ohm cans on the go is still possible with enough power.

New Nano came today - Refurbished as new! ~ Rocking the PortaPros and Rockbox!
