@ AD, how is the output power with i9 & Slim into JH-16? I've tried that pairing and I often had to max the Slim to get adequate volume with my IEMs. I use 40/40 volume with i9.

For me with JH-16 I use 25/40 on the i9, and the Slim volume knob at 50% max.
 
On my i9 alone unamped, the JH-16 can run at only 10/40 volume, but for the same volume, my Westone3 would need 12/40. I think the JH-16 are easy to power, but needs a good amp to actually bring out its true sound quality!
 
What IEM are you running on?

@Blackwheel: quite a bit better, actually. More balanced, much cleaner and smoother sound and tight, punchy bass. The HD238 were a bit more comfortable, with great instrument sepparation, but ultimately they are useless as portables because of them being open

@Zikt congrats on the Ortofons, and what are the full size cans in the background, AKG's?
