It is just a bit smaller and thinner then the clip/clip+, however functionally it is a failure.  It does not resume from pause after power down for example.  I got it because it is cheap and fits in a meelec case with a pair of IEM's.  Right now on Newegg it is only $17.99 for 4GB

I haven't used it enough to tell you.  By the time the battery is half gone, I am plugging it in to copy something to it and it gets recharged.

Ah, I was looking at that Archos player a couple days ago and was contemplating grabbing one to use as a gym/workout player but I guess I should steer clear of it for the time being, it seems.

iPod 7th gen 160g classic / Headstage Arrow 12HE 3G & Sennheiser IE-8's

My wife is out of town & has the camera so I took these with my iPhone. It's a good sounding rig, I originally used my T50P's but found them a little uncomfortable & cumbersome. I like the IE-8's alot better and they pair-up nicely with the Arrow.

Finally!!!!!!!!!
New headphones arrived today and now i have my portable set up complete!

Clip+ > Fiio E7 > Beyer DT 440s

They have a great sound, not really bassy but so clear its unbelievable!

I'm thinking I'll recable them for a 3.5mm jack and better cable, but really not sure... Last time i put a soldering iron near headphones i blew a driver :S (senn HD 215)

You...how did you...ARROW 4G? GIMME.

I REALLY wish someone was selling an Arrow right now. Waiting 3 months for the next run is ridiculous, and I really want to finish my portable rig... ;~;

I'm not sure about the DAC, but they both sound the same to my ears. The main reason I use the iPod is storage - I recently re-imported my CD collection into apple lossless and needed the extra gigs. Also, I was getting occasional interference through the LOD out of the iPhone.
