AhHa! I knew I was right though I am a bit older than you, love that you come from Essex, always had fun there and the Carlos fandango handle could not find a better county to call home.. Now, tell me you have a customized ford escort or cortina and you will have made my weekend!

Ex-Pat from Devon, Dawlish to be precise, have been in Canada since '99 though I now split my time between Canada and Majorca.. Sorry guys, back to. Subject now I promise but just reliving childhood memories for a moment!

------------

First car was a MKII escort Sport, always wanted the RS2000 but couldn't afford one.

I'm hankering after a Cortina like my Dad used to own... But man the good ones fetch a pretty penny.

Perhaps there is a classiccarFi thread we should take this to :)

Canada/majorca sounds exotic :)

Apologies chaps. Back on subject.

es7 + ipod nano 5g: my very first normal rig, using it for one year already.
I used to try some cheap fiio amp, but noticed no difference.
I'm going to get something slightly different like ath-50s in future.

Just got this set up - coming from a 2nd gen ipod touch and Senn HD448, it's a HUGE improvement. Now I just need a smaller silicone band!

Sorry for the double post, but I just noticed this AFTER putting mine up

I've ditched the ipod, LOVE the cheap FiiO amp, and... well, the M50s speak for themselves.

I don't really feel qualified to judge whether amps work better with the M50s, but I can tell you that - in my case - it's doing absolutely INCREDIBLE things with these cans.

Then again, I'm still new - so it's best to take what I say with a grain of salt. Or, you know, an entire spice rack worth of seasoning!

Do you think it'd be worth getting an E7 Amp for the M50's?

Sflo2 with Phonak PFE, so happy I don't have to lug around a humongous amp to get tight sound.  :)

I am desperately trying to decide on a new DAP. I've got it narrowed down to the J3, or the Sflo 2. How do you like it?

From my personal experience, the UI is unpredictable at times.  When you first get its, you will notice the touchscreen doesn't respond at times, then later on you will get a intuitive feel when that happens.  I have never used a product with touchscreen that was unpredictable.  When its working correctly, I am bless that I can ff the music, play music.  Thats how bad it is, but I put up with it for the sound quality, and the size, easy to carry this than DAP + big amp.  It sounds like a DAP that is apmed.
