Well it isn't a massive difference considering I find the hp out tolerable (the HD25's aren't too hard to drive - but it's still a bit anaemic compared to when I use the E5), but it adds that extra kick in terms of bass impact. I find that it's also slightly warmer sounding, but otherwise it won't make any hidden details in your songs suddenly jump out. The E1/E5 is worth it though since it just adds that extra smoothness.

A729
Clip + 4GB +4GB
Clip 8GB
Klipsch S4

Very happy with it. I need a high capacity player now (2x 32GB or one with at least 80GB) but I'm happy with all the rest.

Is it just me, or is the screen on the Clip+ smaller than the original Clip?

GTRacer,
How much did the cable upgrade on your Sennheisers improve the sound quality? How would you describe the sonic signature?

Here is mine. Should be getting TF 10's soon, they are on their way.

Ipod 30gb (I have 2) - FiiO E5 - NuForce NE-8's with complys. The red and blue on them is just pieces of electrical tape so I can quickly identify which is left and right.

Overall it has improved the sound signature, but it's quite subtle - the ALO is less muddy and more precise sounding compared to the stock steel cable. Whereas the stock cable gave a sound that was more weighted towards the bass and mids while slightly toning down on the highs, the recable resulted in a more balanced sound.

Smart idea with the electrical tape trick, I think I will do that to mine also.

I got the idea from the Etymotic ER4's.
