Heres my brand new rig! S-jays and a Cowon s9! It sounds soo amazing! And it wasnt extremely expensive either.

Sorry for the crappy pic, will post a new one up soon.

The S9 is soo much smaller in real life, its pretty tiny, not to mention its really light, it feels like a toy almost, but its built really well.

I gave in to temptation and bought the Amp3 - pretty pleased so far, but with some phones this thing has even more hiss than my Bluetooth rig, LOL!

The Xears are a good match though, sound- and designwise.

... I knew the AMP3 (and certainly the HifiMan as well) wouldn't play nice with low-impedance/high-sensitivity IEMs... I have yet to hear anything Chinese (player, amp, DAC) that does, unfortunately. Thanks for the info.

I knew from the AMP3 thread that it would be hissy... however it managed to exceed my expectations in a bad way, at least with some low-impedance/high-sensitivity IEMs. Then again it has unexpected synergy with other phones, e.g. the entry/mid level Philips SHE9800 (16 Ohm, sensitivity 106dB) that sounds pretty much amazing with the AMP3.
