Hey Guys,

Long time lurker, now I think it's time I started making REAL posts.

I bought me some AKG K81DJ's a while back. Came upon the hugggge thread on them, which is what got me hooked. Been loving them ever since, and no matter what happens, I don't let them die.

First mishap, the connector ended up being torn apart from all the abuse it got while being thrown into my bag everyday. So I asked on here if anybody would be able to recable, and Warrior05 from S2 Audio said he would gladly do it; and did a mighty good job if you ask me.

Second mishap, connector's connections became loose, and so I ended up tearing the whole thing off as they weren't working anyways

.

So my improvised fix for this was a connector from an old headphone that I just spliced the wires into, and used electrical tape to clean it up to the best of my abilities.

Of course I will look into most likely recabling these, or just putting on a new connector, but that's later.

So without further ado, I present to you my setup.

Ipod Classic 80Gig (I believe this is 6G?)->AKGK81DJ

In the near future I will be doing research on new headphones, and possible an amp. I see lots of people here love IEM's, never truly was a fan myself, but maybe that's because all the ones I've had were crappy, so we'll see.

This is definitely a great place to be, and it's fun to learn so much about music and whatnot
