Pictures of Your Portable Rig [Part XIII]

yep, get some impressions done (not sure who you would go to in perth) and ship them to JH, they'll make the IEMs and ship them within a couple of weeks. mine took quite a bit longer, but I got mine very early on when they were still a bit understaffed and were being flooded with orders. AFAIK these days it usually only takes them a week or 2 from when they receive your impressions.

dont skimp on the impressions, go to someone reputable and who has experience with doing impressions for musicians monitors. its very important to get the impressions right or you could be up for refits and then it can get pricey and take a long time, with return shipping and the time needed for their adjustments.

I was lucky I got it pretty much perfect first go, but some have had as many as 5-6 refits. they need an accurate impression to get it right.

wise choice to go this direction though, straight to the top; the JH13 are probably the best purchase (and best value despite the price) I have made in HF.

anyway we should take this to PM if you want to discuss this further as this is a gallery.

How does the Fuze sound compared to the iPhone (or iTouch)?

The bass on my S4s is a lot more tame with the Fuze, which i like, i actually had to EQ the iPhone (i know..) to make it bearable on most rock/metal. i wanted as flat a response as possible, and so far i am pleased. my MS1 sound a bit thin through it though, but that's to be expected unamped. Can't wait to get my UM3X to hear what it can really do. I've only had a couple of hours with the Fuze, and listening to FLAC it definitely sounds better that the iPhone.

Did you remove the memory wire? Just curious since it looks slightly different than Newegg's photos.

Just ordered those 2 minutes ago from newegg. They get very good reviews. Can't wait to try them out.

I did... They are much easier to use without them. The one disadvantage is that it seems to have more microphonics now (I don't use the shirtclip fyi).
