Philips SHE3580 IEM review--how can something sound so good for $10???

If you look at the measurement on the first page you'll see that 20Hz is practically the strongest part of these phones' spectrum.  I could hear down to 15Hz with them, unmodded.

Does the bass deepen with burn in? So far my pair is pretty weak in the bass department, weaker than the mono price 8320, though they are quite a bit quicker and higher resolution

its shouldn't be weaker than the monoprice 8320 i have both models, your probably not getting a good seal, and your tapped up your monoprice 8320's air port, i'm currently using my monster tour's mushroom tips, fantastic isolation with those its scary, i sometimes just use them a pair of makeshift earplugs and they do a admirable job at that

Decided to pick these up at Target since I saw them in the deals thread that they were on clearance for $10 which they are. I'm pretty pretty dang impressed. These are very fun to listen to, holy crap and for $10?! what a steal. Only thing that wasn't a steal was that the Comply's at my target were at full price and weren't on the clearance price :frowning2: doesn't matter since I didn't buy them but was hoping to snag a couple for a cheaper price.

pretty... pretty... pretty, impressed.

I bought a pair of 3582's when I got the cheap Complys this week - I have just put them in my ears, straight out of the box - I am listening to lossless Midnight Oil, Red Sails In The Sunset.... and all I can say is WOW - If you were to blindfold me and ask me how much they cost, I'd have to say over $100 - crisp, good miss, no sibilance and solid, not sloppy bass. What is going on here? And I have read they get better with burn-in... I am going to get a couple more as the only negative I see is construction. Nice deal!

Pretty sure there are no fakes of these and the price doesn't seem fake anyway

I've seen these listed for less than $10 USD.

I've just bought (in Sears) Philips SHE3590PP for $7 (clearance item). The total cost (incl. tax) is $7.60
(PP stands for PURPLE) Extremely cheap. I want to use it with my Sansa Clip+.

I haven't open the 'box' yet. The 'phones is  sooooooo cheap that I am not risking anything. However, it puzzles

me that there are no specs printed.

Also, on amazon.com  SHE3590 /10 costs about $10. - What does the /10 mean?

Any comments?

P.s.
By the way, any other suggestions for cheap $15-$25 IEMs (no ear buds) for the Sansa Clip+.

@ss2625: no, I don't have any rockboxed players.  How many bands is its parametric EQ?
@JakeJack: the 3590 is acoustically the same as the 3580 and I believe the consensus is that the suffixes after that have no meaning.  Just open them
