Alright guys, i have been looking for a good pair of cans under 200$ usd but i do not really know what to get
 
They need good sound quality, good soundstage, but they have to be closed back and circumaural, but i might consider open back ones if they don't leak that badly.
 
they will be used for just about everything like gaming, potable listening on my Pantech Burst, and home listening on my Fiio E9.
 
i listen to alternative rock, classic rock, 80s and 90s rap, electronic, Pink Floyd(i don't know what genre),and yello(dont know what that is either)

The easy to drive Sony MDR-7510 and Sony MDR-V900HD should work for you.

More bass, try the Numark Red Wave/ Electrowave. More neutral, a pair of Denon headphones/ AKG K701, Q701, K702, and yes, a used K550. Hope this helped.

 Unlike the cans Mal recommended, this is a pure basshead can.  Be sure that's what you want before getting it.

I wouldnt go as far as saying they are pure basshead cans.  That would be more like the HFI-580; the 550s have less bass and a larger sound stage.  They would be your best option at $150 but if you can squeeze out $200 then the other options are better.  
 
I would personally get the D2000s for 200 if you can find them but all are great recommendations.

Each to his own taste of course.  For $149 (Amazon) you can get the HiFi 780, which I put above the 580/550.  For $225 you get the Pro 750 (amp needed).
 
We agree on the D2000.  Can you still get it for as low as $200-ish?  I thought that they had gone up, perhaps in part becasue the entire line is being discontinued.

If you call a sales rep and J&R some will lower the price for you to $215 if you ask them.  Electronics expo also puts them up for sale for around $215-$230 but both sites have them on back order and will be for a while.  A used pair can be had for about $200 if you can find them.

I have heard that d2000s are delicate and should be taken care of,and that they don't isolate very well. i take care of all of my things well and everything I own lasts forever but i do not want anything that i need to consciously watch.
i am certainly not a basshead either. i just want decent impact but not anything that drowns out the rest of the sound.

Many people who are not bass heads of any stripe (including yours truly and Tyll at Inner Fidelity--just for starters) like the D2000--like it a lot.  However, the D2000 will not serve you well for use on the go.  They have a long thick cord and are not made to be knocked around or folded up.

I think the same can be said about the 770s. Personally I'd recommend the DT770 or D2000 for home/desktop/gaming use and get a different, smaller, more sturdy headphone for portable use.
