That's quite interesting. The RE0 has plenty of bass but the CK10 doesnt? Most if not all who have had them both would agree that the CK10 has more than the RE0.

edit: in any case enjoy them

I do regret selling them sometimes but then I remember that the CK10 is better than the RE0 so not much issues after I remember that.

Does CK10 have a wider dynamic range than the RE0? Because that's the only real issue I have with the RE0 - it sounds a tad compressed.

To be honest I can't really remember the specifics of the RE0 sound but I do know it's overall sound if that makes sense. It's been at least 3-4 months since I had them. I want to say yes but I haven't heard the RE0 in quite a long time. I will say this however. I have never felt that the CK10 was compressed in any way.

Lads, today I watched Firefly episode 0 - Trailer with my mate: he with the Orto's and me with the Earsonics SM3. At the end, he commented on how well the script was written, but he was damn impressed with the Ortos! I said something like: "yeah, you should be, they are great" - or something like that and then mentioned the price. He didn't blink, but he wasn't ready to go to the store.

In Korea they are 500-600$.

LOL..that's a pretty ridiculous price there. That's like two e-Q7 for the price of one!

Well, considering they sound better to me than $850 ES3X, I would still pay $600 for them.

Ordered my e-q7's from iheadphones here in the UK for £200 on wednesday. Arrived yesterday. Great service once from Ben and iheadphones.

These are a great set of Iem's, using them with my ipod touch and mustang amp. As much as I love my IE8's, they cant match the way that the Orto's present the mids on my music. Bass is tight and accurate, not as deep as the IE8 but still a nice bass sound.

Just ordered the Monster Pro Coppers form the same site. Will post thoughts on how all 3 compare to each other over the weekend.

Just received my eQ7 today!!

,
they're small..smaller than I've expected, and regarding the fit, i have small ear canals, however..it fits my ear perfectly right out of the box!!, didn't even bother to change change the tip size.

As mentioned by some, this thing doesn't need deep insertion, just a good seal and you're good to go.

When I first have them in my hands, they are way smaller, and lighter than I thought too

Excellent. What do you think of the sound quality?

I've moved on from the large stock silicones to medium Comply T-400s (the ones bundled with the Ortos are the large, I believe) with mine, cos I prefer the comfort and the sound is sweeter than a nut. Listening to Radiohead's 'In Rainbows' and Bill Callahan's new live album this morning really brought home to me (again) how great these earphones are.

After 1hr of listening, I still can't get that sense of imaging, soundstage and instrument separation, but as others have mentioned, the ortos do benefit from burn-in..so, its 'wait and see' for me.

But transparency, the treble...coming from Portapro sound signature...this is amazing!! the sound of the triangle being struck.."tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing"....experienced the best goosebumps i've ever had..

I'm using the medium silicone tips for now, tried the stock foams but it makes the ortos protrude more.
