From my perspective, the OH700VB are not bright and have no sharp edges. From your perspective, it is the case apparently. Different perspectives and different sources maybe, too. In any case, we can agree to disagree here.

The shells are very comfortable to me, but once more, we all are born with nature-tailored ear canals and ear shapes, and this without prior notice. Nevertheless, I came across a few bulkier shells over the last 365 days and even if the OH700VB are a bit on the bigger side of things, they should please the majority of the potential listeners.
Oh truly. There are sets far bulkier than OH700VB, like the UM 3DT. In fact, currently as I am getting accustomed to them, I am not feeling the OH700VB to be bulky any more..

Perfect way to start the christmas morning - pure magic of Aretha Franklin from Oriveti OD200 via Fosi Audio DS1.

The DS1 is the perfect source for the OD200. Its dynamic output enhances the smooth and spacious sound of OD200 appropriately to transmute it into an even more engaging presentation. Simply sublime. Full Metal Alchemy.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

This $155 Set is probably the best purchase I have made in 2023

PULA PA02
1x 9.8mm DD
2x Knowles 29689 for mids
2d Knowles 31736 for highs

Incredibly linear and balanced
Neutral with a nice bass punch and fantastic highs .

Working on full review.

Because the frequency response is very flat the overall experience is one where the mids are not your typical forward sounding in your face set. The PA02 sounds more monitor like and more faithful to the source.

One of the most coherent IEM’s I have ever heard.

I really love the Oriveti OH700VB $700 but this set for a fraction of the price with more Mid Bass and extension rocks my world.

Not going to be for everyone who likes in your face upper mids.
But I am certainly enjoying it.

And you have been delivered to the front page of Headfi! Congrats and excellent work.

I just got my OD200 myself thanks to an unusually persistent delivery person. Even right out of the box they sound great, but I will still burn them in like usual. Honestly, they could have charged so much more for these.

Here's a review of the Oriveti OD100: https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/oriveti-od100.26851/reviews#review-32560

OD100_7.jpeg

TLDR:
Pros:

Generous accessories
Built like a tank
Ergonomic - can be worn cable-down or over-ears to increase fitting options
Easy to drive
Above average technical chops
Natural timbre
Transparent midrange

Cons:
Slightly shouty upper midrange
Sub-bass roll-off
Bass could do with more texturing
Tinge of sibilance

Graph of the OD100 via IEC711 coupler. 8 kHz is a coupler peak.

Thanks for the information mate. Pula PA02 seems interesting, indeed. Nevertheless, this is an Oriveti thread and the comparison made here vs. the OH700VB is a bit too « high-level », if I may say. Love your channel, your reviews and the added-value to the hobby (you were helpful to me with gears), but this post is pushing another product in a dedicated thread a bit too much, I think.

F700, Not everyone can afford $700 for a OH700VB that was my point of sharing.
If you can get a similar or better tuning / sound for less than great power to the little guy.

If someone was reading or seeing impressions on the OH700VB and were crushed not to be able to ever afford one would you not appreciate a cheaper alternative that maybe you could afford. For most people $700 is a enourmous sum to spend and not everyone is privileged enough to be able to buy one.

It's ok to be a Oriveti fan boy in a dedicated thread, but let's not forget why theese threads are here.
To educate and share. Help people and express opinions.

Nobody is pushing anything your chosen wording is a bit too much I think mate.
