Oriveti has released 3 new IEMs this year after a long hiatus. The OD100 (single DD), the OD200 (single DD) and the OH700VB (1DD/6BA + switch) are now available and 3 or 4 other sets are going to be released in 2024.

Owning the 3 aforementioned sets and the older but still fantastic O400, I decided to create this thread to discuss Oriveti’s new line up. Sure, talking about previous models is not forbidden, on the contrary, former and present owners of any Oriveti set(s) as well as potential new customers are welcome to share their impressions or to ask questions.

Let be this thread Oriveti’s discussion hub.

Visually and sonically appealing! An addictive tuning with a very balanced signature and imaging capabilities.

The OH700VB attached to some serious sources. I like both
combos, as they bring their own flavors into the mix.

Here are graphs of two Oriveti single DD sets (8 kHz is a coupler peak):

1) Oriveti OD200
- Beryllium-coated 9.8mm Dynamic Driver
- 2 tuning nozzles

2) Oriveti OD100

Being quite sensitive to brightness and too much energy in the uppermids, I am really well surprised that the OD200 sound so natural and balanced, even considering their respective graph. Well, it's a just a graph at the end. The silver filter is the way to go for my tastes.

Do you guys feel that OD200 opens up decently after few days? I am still on the default black module and enjoying it a lot. Too lazy to change to the silver one. I am assuming using the silver one after a long time will be like listening to a new iem altogether.

Yeah I prefer the silver filter by a long mile. I'm sensitive to upper mids glare and though the black filter has superb resolution and clarity, it can be fatiguing for longer sessions.

Upper mids/lower treble perception is however quite subjective, depending on hearing health, volume used at (Fletcher Munson curve), eartips used, ear anatomy (pinna gain), source pairing etc.

The silver filter sounds like a totally different IEM! Much more pulled back in the treble/upper mids, more sedate though less resolving.

It is a good thing to have in my book - we have 2 filters to toggle between, it is kind of getting 2 IEMs with 1 purchase in a way.

Even if you like the black filters, I cannot recommend you enough switching to the silver filters to try them out. It takes max. 2 minutes of your time and you might like the signature even more.

How do you like the OH700VB? How does it compare to the OV800? I had a great time with the tour unit you kindly arranged, my finances just never really matched up with a purchase at the time.

The Od200 looks very good. Filter difference is significant which means better genre versatility. The black nozzle upper mid looks too much for me for some of the more aggressive genres but probably suits acoustic / instrumental quite well. Whereas the black nozzle looks a safe bet for metal etc.

The OH700VB are completely different sounding compared to the OV800. In all honesty, the OV800 did very good with vocals and instruments, but failed a bit short in the low-end and treble registers. The OH700VB are way fuller sounding and I think Oriveti hit another home run with them, after they took many by surprise with the release of the OD200.

The OH700VB sport 4BA for the mids and 2 for the highs. It was the same driver structure in the OV800, that’s about it. The OH700VB are also a departure from the OD200, obviously. I honestly see people ending up liking the OD200 more than the OH700VB for some reasons. Indeed, the OH700VB are bassier and a bit darker, while the mids have more heft to them. The uppermids and the treble are similary tuned, but the soundstage and the impression of being "inside" the music, surrounded by it, is impressive. On top of that, the switch on the faceplates is very well implemented. As with the OD200 black/silver filters, you get two different signature. Filters and switch that actually work, I dig that a lot.

Regarding the black filters on the OD200, well, to each their own, but after the silver ones have been mounted, it's point of no return to me, no matter which musical genres I am listening too. I see the black filters being preferred over the silver ones by trebleheads or people craving for extra sparkle in their uppermids.

I am on the silver module now. This one sounds equally good. The added bass is surely making it a fun iem. The mids are not distributed at all and are as enjoyable as it were on the black module.
