yes!!! due to the small size of DP-S1 player, i do all the searches of Tidal in PC and then choose all those artists and MQA files as my favor. then i can pick my favor artists and MQA playlists in the DAP. when playing MQA files in the DAP by streaming with wifi on, the screen actually shows MQA and then file details.

As a MacBook can stream MQA of Tidal. That indicated that dp-s1 source code should be similar to Mac OS (a version of Linux)

Is there a difference between the Hong Kong Version versus the Japanese version?

Also have you tested tidal offline to the EXTERNAL sd card, to see if the playback skipping remains an issue?

Yes, Japanese version does not have Tidal.

But in the HK market people seldom buy CD and preferred more of streaming like Moov (a local rival of tidal), tidal, spotify.

Therefore Onkyo HK sell higher price for dps1 and xdp-30 than Japan but added support for Tidal.

No, it was stated Linux. So now it can stream MQA as all MacBook can.

Hi folks, I don't know if it's a glitch or oversight on my part - but for some reason on the new player version I seem to be unable to save EQ presets. After holding down on the square-ish icon at the top for a second the word "save" shows up, but then I have to choose from "featured EQs" (which BTW are EQ curves obviously from musicians who haven't the faintest clue about fidelity), but no way to enter in a custom name for my preset.

Also I'm not impressed with the default apps' built in EQ - I find the parametric virtual nodes to appear/disappear too easily, and it seems very unresponsive to upper frequencies compared to other players.

Hi guys, does anyone know where to claim warranty from Onkyo DP-X1A in Canada? I bought this unit brand new and within 1 week my balanced right channel keep cutting out unless I applied pressure on the headphone jack in specific direction.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
