Why is it that despite the device being out in the real world for over a month nobody has found out if twin DACs are used in SE mode or just one?

I believe most of us here still waiting for unit shipment. Only few people has it right now and seem no one know an answer for your question.

It's single DAC and single amp for the SE - it says so on the website, just that the people either keep ignoring it or couldn't read Japanese to notice it.

See that x1 right at the bottom there compared to all those x2 pasted everywhere above?  Yeah, that.
So if you are buying this DAP and wants to utilize it to the full, be ready to invest in a balanced cable/headphone, if not and you aren't planning to go balance either may as well just go Pioneer instead.

Local audiophile store happens to be carrying official Fitear balance cable so picked it up yesterday, spend yesterday and today listening using balance only.
The MH335DW driven in normal balance mode is almost too overwhelming with the low end, much better control in ACG mode and low gain setting and needing about 70 notches in volume.  I like to turn on DSP and apply the slow filter which smooths out the edge of the sound a bit as well.

Does changing the default launcher to Google Now or Nova Prime affect the sound quality or functionality in any way?
