When the MQA capability was introduced for the LG V30 I sent Tidal a note and asked when it would be available for the DP-X1. They were very non- committal about it and to date nothing has been introduced for the DP-X1. Perhaps some additional messages to Tidal support may help the cause.

I'm so frustrated with this damn player. I'd say that I can play 80% of my music with no issues. However, the X1 isn't recognizing the other 20%. The album shows up, but when I press the album folder for the individual songs, I'm getting a message "No music available". ??????????

Do you have official MQA songs? I've never had issues listing to MQA on mine. It even say MQA.

I can listen to MQA files off the device of course but as the main source of MQA tunes is Tidal it would help if the bloody app would play them on DP-X1.

I use USB Audio Player Pro to play MQA through Tidal. As a side note, the app needs to be connected to a network to function. Hope this helps!!

...having said that, it works exactly the same on my Samsung S9+ that is not MQA compatible, so I don't know what to do with this.

I did a number of searches, and followed a bunch of links, and I've only found downloads of the "alternate" firmware.
It seems like there was a link to a backup of the stock firmware, in a post on this thread, but I haven't found the right search term, to locate that post.

I don't think the MQA works offline with Tidal. I may be wrong though.
