Can anyone recommend a 1900mah battery for an iPod 7.5gen thin? I purchased a few online and the seller sent me 3000 mah battery, saying it’s the same size as the 1900mah.

I tried fitting the 3000 into my iPod but it clearly doesn’t fit

Thanks for any help
If you want to use a 1900 /3000 mAh battery you need to use a thin iPod with a thick back.

i have an old 160gb iPod classic (gen 6) that i would like to have upgraded with a 256gb SSD and a new battery. i'm not even going to try to do it myself because i will definitely destroy it. haha! if anyone offers a mail-in upgrade service, please PM me. thanks!

update: bad news. it looks like the gen 6 iPod classic can only be upgraded with a 128gb SSD. oh well....

This one should fit with the quad and thin back. Just need to cut the extrusion in the frame that supports the LCD.

Thanks for this. I probably should have been more specific. I have a couple of these 1900 mAh batteries lying around and they're great for the thick back. I was hoping to find something similar in size to Alex's battery which did not necessitate cutting the frame. Appreciate the reply anyway.

It's this battery can be used on classic with Tarkan adaptor?
Anyone can recommend a good battery for iPod mini?
yes you can. If you go with thick back it should fit just fine. If you wan the thin back you will have to cut a piece of the frame which is show in Tarkan's page.

According to Tarkans page, the 1900 will fit with a thin back.

The previous link was actually the 1900 I purchased but the seller sent me a 3000 which is obviously not what I ordered or wanted. Trying to find a 1900 that will fit inside a thin back but they all look generic to the 300”

I can honestly say I've never run into this particular issue then. It does sound like iTunes is the problem - especially because they're not playing properly in iTunes. (...)

That's not always the case though. These days most of my albums play just fine on iTunes, but with the same old problem on my iPod :S.

Is there a way of formatting the SD card in my iPod without disassembling the latter?

You can simply restore the iPod using iTunes or if you have disk mode enabled format the iPod in Explorer/Finder.
If you go with the formatting option you still have to restore it in iTunes afterwards if you plan on using the original firmware.

What’s your transfer speed (copying files) from pc to ipod (rockbox with iflash)? Mine is too slow.. wondering if cable problem since it is only a generic one.

Rockbox USB transfer can have issues with speed and file corruption. Boot back into the original OS to transfer files faster and more reliably. iPods are far slower than USB 2 speeds, but faster than USB 1.

Yeah same here, I ordered the 1900mah which is clearly stated but the battery sent was for 3000mah. gave the seller the appropriate feedback so nobody else get the same mistake. Looks like the 1900mah is getting have to come by nowadays. On top of that, shipping batteries alone is also getting harder.
