  Hey!

Has anyone heard this player?

Cheers.

It was mentioned recently, but I haven't seen anyone commenting on its performance, yet. I'm sure it won't be long before someone gets it and reports back

Remote control + XLR & RCA out - that`s the future of home+portable rig!

Oh, now wait a minute - so, there's a docking station for it, as well?

LOL - I'll say it again: I think someone is seriously trying to ape Hi-FiMan's designs, with that Flang DAP

Definitely some inspiration from the HM-901, methinks

... to my eyes, there is more than a random coincidence.

(choice of ES9018, choice of volume dial style, and several other minor design-cues are a little reminiscent of HiFiMan)

My concern would be if the "Flang" logo is meant to represent the sound it makes when you throw it across the room 'cause of the funky UI

I hadn't noticed the 'Flang' logo - could that be a subtle, deliberately slightly-misspelled, reference to Fang Bian ?

Or......... could this DAP even be a stealth, undercover release by HiFiMan themselves, under a different name?  (I doubt it very much, but it's fun to ponder)

What`s interesting is - it has XLR + RCA out integrated on table-stand... me like it!

Indeed - seems to be designed with nothing but audio quality in mind. As you can see on the display and the lack of anything fancy. An honest, workhorse DAP.
