why would you be anti-beats? The solo 2's and studio 2's are great. Studio 2's have just as much detail as a v-moda m100 in all honesty, yet v-moda doesn't get bashed? Meh. Neither are worth it IMO anyways. I just wont blatantly hate them either.

The 2nd run of beats aren't horrible, but the pose a bad value.

Last night I played some ALAC and the same on MP3 from Amazon (256k LAME encoded) for my wife and she could tell the difference immediately.  I'm so proud of her.

Surprisingly enough my friends are rather receptive to the anti beats thing. One bought the PortaPro, and Klipsch Reference S4i, another the Sony MDR-ZX100 another the Monoprice 9927, and I gave another the same 9927.

I don't like Beat's marketing. They come up with a bunch of bull.

Anyway, handed my aunt my MDR-ZX100 and her iPhone 4S with some 320kb MP3 from deezer. She started bobbing her head and then asked "Can I get one of these?" Of course she did quite like the price.
