Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

Have you listened to the K10? It is hard to imagine the difference betwen the two with just their respective graphs. Encore is more neutral and detailed. K10 has a more elevated bass, perhaps v-shape sound. Both are equally good, one is more analytical, another more 'fun'.

I agree with your general assessment, but I wouldn't say the K10 is v-shaped. Far from it, actually. I find the K10 quite mid-centric, in fact. It's definitely one helluva fun IEM.

How's the food in Taiwan? Heard lots about it, but I've never been there before, though.

you should definitely try it, but it is advantage to understand and read chinese really well, it helps determine whats good and whats not

some local folks who knows the way around taipei is even better, my uncle lives there, and led us to some of the best and cheapest food around there, no tourist traps triggered :D

The Noble Lightning Cable is now available online,
affording every Noble IEM and CIEM user instant compatibility with the latest Apple iOS devices.

Looking at the lightning cable it seems like there is no dedicated DAC and AMP inside the cable (concluding from the size of adapter) specifically tuned for the noble iems, but just the normal dac chip provided in - Apple authorized Lightning headphone development kit....Please tell me I'm wrong!!!!

I certainly would assume that there is not a specially tuned dedicated super-Über DAC/AMP inside the cable but just the standard DAC package.

Any particular reason why you are interested in that feature?

You might've heard about the cipher cable of Audeze...many people claims that the new iSine 20s sound fantastic out of the cipher cable which is specifically tuned for the iSines...also the shure has also launched their version of such cable...ultimately this type of cable can help to tune the dac according to the IEMs...and the results can be astonishing and also there'd be true portability as you won't need a dedicated dac with you(like chord mojo - portable but not pocket friendly)!!

I don't work for or represent Noble officially but if you're looking for a cable like that from Noble you are probably going to be disappointed. Audeze and Shure are, I assume far bigger than Noble and so will have enough resources and R&D to design and manufacture specially designed and tuned cables like that. Noble probably does not.

How is your car running these days John. Any major problems?

Other than a flying billboard hitting my M3, no problems.

I was leaving the airport, a strong wind uprooted a billboard, and it flew into my car. Luckily it didn't break any windows, but it did leave behind a nice sized dent.  (The car is due for a paint job any how)  I'm just glad my wife didn't get hurt,as the billboard hit her side of the car.
