That's an accurate representation of how I felt when I saw them.
Wow, I also listened to Love is Blindness (from Achtung Baby) just now on my new wizard Katanas
Sorry, that was just me acting a fool. Shouldn't post after drinking...
Still love my K10's though!
My review of the Kaiser Encore is finished and will go up on audioprimate.blog, and HeadFi soon to follow. I'll post when it is up. For now, here's Doctor Frankenfurter:

really like your review well-made/written @glassmonkey. about the hiss problem, was it because of the cable? i've also noticed it (a bit) while listening in a quiet environment at home. using a plussound cable and aune m2. but afterwards, i tried listening again with the stock cable and a demo encore unit in a convention. there was no hiss, and if there was, unnoticeable. not sure what's the cause (looking at you, ear).
not much has been said about Sage in general, so here's my take on it:

enjoy!
Nice review, thanks. I've had the Sage wizard universal in my cart before but backed down. Still considering picking up a pair.
I did find it funny that you mention the ALO CDM in the contex of power, yet it only outputs 125mW@32 Ohm (balanced), certainly not desktop class and many DAPs output more than that. Not a criticism in any way, just an observation on tuning vs power, reality vs myths. I agree 100% that different tuning is a big reason for owning different gear.
You're right that CDM is not a power beast in terms of specifications, but it certainly has more power than many/my DAPs and clearly more than a smartphone (at least mine)...
EDIT: the desktop class was meant for soundquality.
Thanks for your comment! Glad you still liked the read
Certainly, I get your meaning.
Compared to the K10 would you say you would miss the K10 massively when using the Sage? Not expecting the Sage to keep up to my K10 but I'm considering a less 'precious' IEM to travel with. Besides the slightly less bass impact you mention in your review would the Sage have a generally similar sound signature?
