Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

@fullcircle: thanks for answering. I can confirm that the es5 does in fact use 1 CI driver per side. I should've been more clear when stating "typical BA bass." What meant by that is bass you hear more than you feel, as in speakers pushing air. Thanks again for your time and explanation.

Which one has better bass quantity and quality? Katana or Encore?

The comments (and my feelings as well)

The Encore offers up a harder slam, but the Katana offers up a deeper/lower tonality.  To me that is the "blink" factor about the Katana the music will be playing along, and low note is presented....   and I blink and think.....   did that just happen?

Again, it is't a "slam" type presentation that a bass lover would probably require, it is more of a tonality "ah" factor.

I am not sure if I answered your, quantity/quality question?

Finally decided to pull the trigger on the Katana (Universal). Pleased to report that it is exactly what I was looking for. Neutral but still somehow very musical, analytical but not at all fatiguing, nearly clinical separation of instruments without sounding artificial, and seemingly handling any genre I've thrown at it (Classical, Jazz, Acoustic, Rock, Metal, Pop, Electronic) with ease. Well done Noble!

Got my K10EU, compared to the original K10, they are more dynamic, have better resolution, instrument separation and soundstage, I now use them whenever I can't use my Ether C Flow.

[Mod Comment]

If you want to discuss ADELs technology - take it to the dedicated ADEL thread please.  Here it is both off-topic, and unreasonable to try to get John to discuss a competitors product (under Head-Fi's rules he can't).

Further - if you see someone going off-topic, or pushing personal insults/attacks - PLEASE do not reply to them.  Flag it and let the Moderators deal with it.  Every time someone replies and quotes - we have another post to clean up.

Thanks

Paul

It is good to see some happy customers.

As said before, more Encores are on their way.

Yeah I really like how that turned out, the custom artwork in clear and the stripes was something they haven't done before but Sunny spoke to the engineers and and they said it could be done. I discussed my design a lot over the emails with Sunny. She is really quick with her responses and very helpful! This has been a very positive experience for me.
