So they sent my k10's to Birmingham in the UK instead of Birmingham AL in the USA! This has been one crazy process from impressions being sent to wrong lab to sending k10's to wrong address! This is tuff when I should have had them in my hands a month and a half ago!lol

Wow, I feel bad for you, the wait is one of the worst as it is

Delivery! Posssstttttmannnnnnnn!
Yeah! LOL.
Encore; iPhone; Mojo; mixture of hi-res and streamed songs.
Encore's in ear now, trying different tips (when I can get them on the bloody stems. Grrr). Saw a tip from one of the Noble guys earlier on this thread about folding back the mushroom part and pushing the stem on then, so thanks for that! That works a treat.
Currently on middle Red cored tips.
Jazz at The Pawnshop - Take Five. Incredible resolution and details from them.
Holy amazeballs! That's all I can say for now. My head is getting used to the fit and the sounds.
Soundstage is crazy good. The sound is good. Need time to get used to them now.
crap these are good. I am track hopping like mad listening to all my favourite songs! LOL.

EDIT when I hear something new!: Clarity. Don't know how to explain what I am hearing, but what I am feeling, wow. Piano Guys are just blowing me away through Encore.
Now using the bucket sized Blue cored tips. Like stuffing a cushion in my ear!

Oh I am liking these! I am still working on the best fit of tips. I am loving the extra details that I can hear, not to mention some nice bass too. My head is obviously telling me I should have had a loan and bought some customs, but alas, I dunno. lol. It's a shame I am a champion procrastinator!

When people ask me what is different between the k10 (og) and the kaiser encore

I just say, the encore has more awesomesauce

Nice choice

I don't think a blue carbon glass Prestige has been done. . Blue carbon glass face plates have been done

Black mixed with gold or silver carbon glass Prestige has been done and the look books has photos of those

Use the filter features to speed up ur search

Thanks doc, do you have a copy of the pic on the noble website where it shows the blue carbon glass as an option but without the graphic in front by any chance?

I'm going to need a lot of peanut butter for all this jelly!

Sounds like you're really enjoying the Encore, congrats! Mine aren't done yet, but they'll be wizard design customs, so I know they'll be worth the wait. I'm constantly jumping between the Katana and the original K10, so I'm thinking that the Encore could very well be the perfect middle ground for me

@FullCircle

Been a long time member of head-fi, but have recently lost touch and starting to reconnect with the headphones community again.

First off, I must say how impressed I am with the Noble IEMs (had a chance to audition them at my local headphone store (headphonebar.com).  In fact, I'm so impressed that I'm decided to get my first pair of high end IEMs and I'm going Noble.  I managed to snag the last copy of headphonebar's universal Savant day before yesterday but haven't opened my box yet (and still considering if I should exchange that for Savanna).  The main reason is because I'm having a hard time deciding between the Savant and the Savanna.  I have been searching the internet for comparisons between the Savant and the Savanna, but these two IEMs are rarely compared.  In fact, there are more write-ups comparing Savants to the K10s, however, in my mind, price wise and perhaps, even the sound signature, the Savants are somewhat more comparable to the Savanna.  I auditioned them both, but it wasn't a long audition, hence, my confusion.

My genre is mainly Classical (70%) and Vocal Jazz (30%).  In terms of Classical, I listen mostly to Strings and then Symphonies and finally Piano Concertos.  As for Jazz, I listen to mainly female vocalists (ala Chesky Records - Rebecca Pidgeon, Sara K, Melissa Menago etc.)

Also, I think Noble's got it right in taking the focus away from the number of IEM drivers but rather, the merits of the IEM should be based only on ONE thing, the sound.  As such, I'm not the slightest bit concerned by driver counts.

Any advice as to the main differences between the Savant and the Savanna?  How about between the Savant vs. the Savanna for my specific repertoire?

In anycase, you have just created a lifelong Noble fan.

Cheers!

A hard call. The genre u like, I would think either the savanna or the savant would work well

The reports are, the savanna offers a wider sound stage, but the savant offers a pinch more bass. So I guess u have to ask what is most important bass or separation

I have seen people choose the savanna over the savant, and the opposite as well

For me, I'd choose the savant over the savanna, further more if u need better bass slam, the savant responds well to eq, where as the savanna just kinda giggles at U and says dream on

The sage, more bass than the savanna, and the savant, and more engaging out of the three, your head will instinctively bounce with the beat.

It is far too early in the product life to determine if it is a successor to the savant, as the added bass brings it more into the fun category rather the neutral category. In other words the two may be considered two different animals all together.

I hope that helps some

Thanks @FullCircIe

This really helps!  I think, like you, I do like a little bass in my headphones, hence, my preference for Sennheiser HD650 over the AKG K701, even for Classical.  Also, as I can recall, the mids in the Savanna is quite forward and the Savant is little more balanced from the bottom end to the top.  As for Sage, I haven't had a chance to audition them as I think they are not at the headphonebar yet, however, for my application, I really do not need the added bass and neutrality is more important.

Savant it is then.  Thanks for your help!

Noble warranty card in the Peli case, shouldn't it have some info filled out on it? Like serial number or anything else?

Meh, customs have serial numbers on them, universals have serial numbers on the bottom of the box. Its not like they would get confused its their product, heck I don't fill out warranty cards on anything.
